In recent years his health has improved to the extent that he can lead a normal life after receiving a successful kidney transplant at the second attempt.

This has taken the form of him setting up large-scale charity initiatives in the areas of education, health, and care for the most vulnerable members of society by providing free meals for the homeless and those in need.
